The Budokon Academy Leadership Certification Program 400+ Hour (LP)

Any Blue through Black Belt Sensei may apply to teach a 6-month / 200 Hour Budokon Academy Extended Program (EP). This certified leadership teacher will have authority to advance students through the curriculum of the belt or belts that said teacher has been certified to lead. Each belt curriculum the leadership teacher wishes to teach must be obtained through a leadership certification course for that specific belt rank. The Leadership teacher will not be conducting teacher training programs, but rather a belt-ranking program. All Teacher Training programs are conducted personally by Kancho Cameron Shayne.

The Leadership Program is for any teacher interested in progressing their students through the belt ranking system. Leadership Teachers also have the opportunity to own and operate their own freestanding Budokon Academies.

Application Requirements:

Applicants must have successfully completed the 250 Hour Teacher Training Program.
Applicants must be Blue Belt or higher rank.
Applicants must be one belt rank higher in the Budokon Academy than the belt curriculum they wish to teach.
Applicants must complete a 2-day weekend Leadership training course for each belt curriculum they wish to teach.
To lead an Academy Extended Program (EP), applicants must have access to a training center with grappling mats and adequate space for students to move comfortably.

Upon completion of the 400hr-LP program students will receive an official Budokon Academy Leadership diploma, which they can share with students and venues that host the Academy Leadership program. The Leadership certification is the first step toward the career opportunity as a Budokon Academy Owner.
