The Budokon Teacher Training Program 250 Hour
This program is the starting point for all Budokon Teachers. To qualify for the 250 Hour certification a student must first enter and graduate the 200-hour Academy Belt Training program. Once a student has obtained their red belt (or above) they are qualified to apply for the 3-day Teacher certification training. Once they successfully graduate the 3-day training they will have earned the final 50 hours required to graduate the 250 Hour Teacher Training Program. This process usually takes 4 to 8 months from program entry to program graduation. The 250 Hour program certifies the teacher as both a Budokon conditioning teacher as well as a Budokon yoga teacher.
The teacher will also learn to teach the four signature Budokon Conditioning Classes (Budokon Basics, Budokon Flow & Flexibility, Budokon Strength & Balance, and Budokon Power & Agility) in yoga studios, martial arts schools, health clubs and fitness facilities. This type of certification is ideal for yogis, martial artists, personal trainers, or group fitness instructors.
Budokon group classes expose new students to the Budokon practice in an accessible, playful and non-threatening environment. We recognize that joining a yogic or martial arts academy is often intimidating. The 250 Hour Certification gives teachers the freedom to teach Budokon as a martial / yogic arts health and conditioning class in a variety of venues outside of the academy. Students within yoga, martial arts or health club environments are thus able to experience the physical benefits of the practice without having to commit to a full-time Budokon Academy Program. The conditioning and yoga classes increase strength, range of motion, improve the cardiovascular and nervous system and rehabilitate injuries.
Students who complete the 250 hour program will be able to:
- Teach anatomical architectural alignment and structure
- Use verbal & physical postural cuing to quickly adjust students
- Teach yoga asana (classic & contemporary)
- Teach martial arts striking (mixed martial styles)
- Utilize basic life coaching techniques in and out of class
- Apply basic anatomy & physiology to heal injuries
- Apply modifications & adjustments to individual anatomy
- Use marketing & advertising techniques to build your business
- Deepen your practice and understanding of yoga & martial arts
- Know how to structure and create a cohesive, well-rounded class
- Have the confidence and tools to begin teaching Budokon Yogic & Martial arts classes
Upon completion of the 250 Hour Teacher Training Program teachers will receive an official Budokon Teacher diploma, which they can share with prospective employers. Completion of this program also qualifies students for admission into the Budokon 400+Hour Academy Leadership Program, and opens the door to career opportunities as a Budokon Academy Owner.
